In April, "How to Revitalize Small Group Bible Study", a core course of the "Fellowship/Small Group" major of our Certificate program, was held at Richmond Chinese Evangelical Free Church. Rev. Abraham Lau, our Board Director, taught the participants how to lead small group Bible study. Through lecturing, group discussion and practices, particpants deepened what they learnt. The courses spent a lot of time in how to prepare open questions which not only focus in Bible knowledge but also in emotion and experience, so that people can share more transparently about themselves in Bible study. To learn mre, please visit this link. We are excited that two more courses for our "Missional Leadership Certificate" will be held in May and June. Core course "Value Based Leadership" will be held this weekend, and "Building an Empowering Team" (a core course for the "Elder/Deacon Leadership" major will be held at June. Both of them will take place at Burnaby Pacific Grace Church. Non-certificate participants are welcome. We pray that they will be blessings to those who attend. We thank God for: - Leading Rev. Abraham, instructor of "How to Revitalize Small Group Bible Study", through his teaching in the 16-hour course. Thank God for empowering the particiapants through the teaching, materials, group discussion and practices. - Helping the 2 webinars in Apr. and May, which discussed temptation and trials, to take place smoothly. In addition that the interaction in Q&A has complemented the presentations.
- Empoweing our president Rev. David Chiu to finish his ministries in Canada, USA and HK, through his continual physical problems. In particular, thanks God for leading his teaching in Mandarin in the Seattle Pastor Retreat.
- Empowering our vice-president Rev. Enoch Yim through his church ministry and OnTrack ministry. Thank God for his completion of his Doctoral studies at Carey Theological College, and will graduate in June.
